Objet: behind this lowest common denominator is a composer and guitarist as discreet as he is prolific, the driving force with the duo Keiko Tsuda of the new math-rock/noise/live looping forge of which Lyon is the global epicentre, and also the seemingly limitless demiurge behind the sprawling Tempus Fugit project.
Objet devotes his research to a kind of particle physics, restoring to the electric guitar its function as an electronic instrument, a material source of sound waves, methodically destroying the idea we have of the instrument to make it reappear with completely different coordinates, sample by sample, grain by grain.
